About ANGY

 It started with a gap nobody was addressing. Architects and interior designers kept running into the same wall — international lighting brands were priced far beyond most project budgets, while local alternatives cut corners on colour accuracy, driver quality, and durability. ANGY was built to sit in the space no one else occupied. We started with a small range of architectural and premium lighting, working closely with designers to get every detail — beam angle, CCT, finish — right for real Indian projects. That close, project-by-project feedback loop is what shaped ANGY's product range into what it is today: a full lighting catalogue spanning COB downlights, profile lighting, magnetic track systems, and more, now reaching both design-led projects and everyday retail shelves through our channel network.

 We exist to give every space the light it deserves — not just the light it can afford to compromise on. Lighting shapes how a room feels, how art is perceived, how a home comes alive after dark; we don't think that should be an afterthought in a project's budget. Our mission is to keep raising the bar on what "standard" lighting means in India — one project, one designer, one home at a time — while staying true to the people who trust us to get the details right.

 ANGY was founded by Varun Thodupunuri, an alumnus of IMT Ghaziabad and a seasoned corporate professional with over 14 years of experience across procurement, sourcing, and business leadership roles — most recently as General Manager at Polycab India Limited. In 2023, he set out to build something of his own: a lighting brand that didn't force architects and designers to choose between international quality and Indian pricing. That conviction shows up in every ANGY fixture — Cree LED chips, Fulham and Inventronics drivers, 95 CRI colour accuracy, and a 3-year warranty most brands won't offer. Backed by 14+ years of sourcing and vendor-management expertise, Varun runs ANGY the way he ran multi-crore procurement functions  — with rigor, accountability, and zero tolerance for shortcuts on quality.
